Philip Nolan

Philip is a partner in Mason Hayes+Curran’s commercial department. Philip advises both public and private clients in relation to communications, information technology, intellectual property and commercial law. Philip has also developed a focused regulatory advisory practice which includes public procurement law, data protection law and energy law.

Philip has co-authored the second and third editions of Business Law published by Oxford University Press in conjunction with the Irish Law Society's Law School. He also co-authored a book entitled Irish Information Technology Law published by Cavendish. At the Law School of the Law Society of Ireland, Philip teaches information technology law, software licensing law, data protection law and commercial law. He is also actively involved in a number of international organisations including the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA) and the International Technology Law Association. Philip is the President of the Technology, Media and Intellectual Property Commission of AIJA.
